The Fiery Helm is one of four pieces of the Fiery Armor set from the Twilight Forest mod. It is either crafted with an Iron Helmet and Fiery Blood or Fiery Tears; or with five Fiery Ingots. To obtain Fiery Ingots, one must defeat one or more Hydras or Ur-Ghasts to obtain Fiery Blood.
Before version 2.3.3 of Twilight Forest, each of the pieces of the Fiery Armor set was innately enchanted with Fiery Aura II when crafted or when spawned in with NEI, like the Naga Scale Armor. In newer versions, this is no longer the case.
Fiery Aura functions similar to Fire Aspect on a sword, but every piece of the armor has to have Fiery Aura for the Fiery Aura to be of any use. Currently, the only way to get Fiery Aura is to make the Fiery Armor set. If the entire Fiery set is equipped, then a mob that attacks the player and does any damage or attempts to do so will be set on fire. This fire effect lasts for a total of ten seconds, dealing half a heart of damage per second for total damage of five hearts. Thus, it is possible to deduce that per tier of Fiery Aura, a mob is lit on fire for five seconds and dealt half a heart of damage per second for total damage of 2.5 hearts. This functions similar to Fire Aspect, which also stacks per tier.
If only the Fiery Helm is worn, a mob will only be set on fire with a chance of 20% and will only burn for 2 seconds, which will deal 1 heart per damage. Wearing the complete set is therefore highly advisable, as burning mobs can cause the player to burn longer, potentially inflicting more damage to the player than they get themselves.
The Fiery Armor set is 2/3 more durable than a set of Iron Armor, provides the same protection level as Diamond, but Diamond Armor is approximately 1/3 more durable than Fiery Armor. However, Diamond Armor does not provide the player with the innate Fiery Aura that the Fiery Armor set provides. It is also 25% more durable than a set of Ironwood Armor or a set of Steeleaf Armor and provides a higher protection level than Ironwood or Steeleaf.
Fiery Helm has no known uses in crafting.
