Canopy Tree Sapling is a type of sapling that is sometimes obtained when Canopy Tree Leaves decay or are broken by hand. It is used to grow Canopy Trees, a type of tree found profusely throughout the Twilight Forest (especially in the Twilight Forest biome) which consists of Canopy Tree Wood and Canopy Tree Leaves. Canopy Tree Saplings are a highly efficient way of gathering wood, as a single Canopy Tree Sapling will generate a tree 2 to 3 dozen blocks in height that has numerous branches. In earlier versions, Canopy Trees could sometimes have have a trunk with an area of 2x2, however in current versions, these Canopy Trees won't generate nor can be grown by placing Canopy Tree Saplings in a 2x2 grid.
Canopy Tree Saplings also generate Canopy Trees that have Roots beneath them, making cleanup a cumbersome and frustrating chore and possibly a debilitating one as Root blocks can overwrite any blocks beneath them, even Bedrock and expensive machines. Thus, Canopy Tree Saplings, as with other Twilight Forest Saplings, should be used with caution such as to not destroy valuable objects or the bedrock that prevents players from falling into the void.
