In order to function, a Flux Scrubber requires a constant supply of Energized Aer Vis, which is produced by an Aura Node which has been energized with a Node Transducer. The Flux Scrubber can draw Energized Vis from the node directly if within 8 blocks, or "beams" of Energized Vis can be routed to it in straight lines by using Vis Relays.
Whilst powered, the Flux Scrubber will search for Flux Goo and Flux Gas within a 16 block radius and remove any it finds, one "block" at a time. For each operation where it successfully removes Flux, it has a chance to generate a single unit of Preacantatio Essentia. The Scrubber can store only small amounts of this Essentia, but does not cease to function when it is full - additional Essentia generated whilst its internal reserves are full will simply be lost. Essentia can be drawn out of the Scrubber by using Essentia Tubes to connect the underside of the Scrubber to a device that can accept it, such as a Warded Jar, Essentia Reservoir, or other alchemical device.

"Even the most skilled thaumaturge occasionally leaves a mess in the form of flux. It is a nuisance everyone has to deal with, but this machine removes the drudgery involved.
The flux scrubber, when powered with aer vis, will slowly remove any form of flux within 16 blocks of where it is placed. What is more, it is able to reclaim a small portion of the magic that makes up the flux in the form of praecantatio essentia.
It's internal buffer is very small and it will continue operating even when full, so it must be emptied if you wish to reclaim all the essentia."
