The Kinetic Generator is a machine that converts the rotation energy of the Kinetic Wind/Kinetic Steam Generators into EU in IndustrialCraft2, essentially turning them into a multi-block generator of sorts. Kinetic Generators do not produce energy alone because of this.

Usage[edit]

Kinetic Generator (IndustrialCraft 2) has no known uses in crafting.

Setup[edit]

The Kinetic Generator has 3 distinct sides: a.) 2 metallic-grey facings, b.) 1 large black circle with no markings, and c.) 1 large black circle with a smaller silver circle inside of it. the 'a' sides are neutral facings and won't accept, generate or receive EU. The 'b' facing is the output side where EU can be wired out, while the 'c' facing needs to be oriented towards the Kinetic Wind/Steam Generator's crankshaft.

This generator can be picked up by right-clicking the block with a Wrench (IndustrialCraft 2) or Electric Wrench and its facing adjusted as you would any other IC2 machine.

Output[edit]

The Kinetic Generator doesn't produce EU on its own and its output is directly related to the generator it is paired with. It should be noted however that the Kinetic Generator does have a modest internal storage buffer for EU it produces which can be visually accessed by right clicking on the machine without a wrench tool in your hand. Once this buffer is full, no further EU will be generated even if the attached Wind/Steam generator is still operating, wasting steam and durability on Rotors.
