Hello. As you have already seen, I have just finished working on the mod, you and makeo have created - Gadomancy. I may have misunderstood some mechanics or the reason of some items while creating the pages. If you find any mistakes, you can either correct them or let me know and I will correct myself (in case the mistake is rather complex, located on several pages or has to do something with textures). --Antillar (talk) 23:35, 6 July 2016 (CEST)
- Hey, i did see you writing the wiki entires only today, but i checked your videos on youtube. Great work ;) However, i noticed in your video, that you couldn't figure out how to use the "Book of Knowledge" correctly? (Shift-Rightclick on the top-side of a normal TC4 arcane pedestal, place 1 jar or something that can hold essentia close to it and then drop 1 unsolved research node near it) Same goes for the "Essentia Condenser" - I guess you missed that you have to arrange them in a multiblock (basically 3 blocks on top of each other) and right-click with a wand with sufficient amount of vis to activate it. You found out how to use the aura pylon after writing a few parts of the wiki entry, so i guess i don't need to help you there :P Other than that, the entries are great and they contains all information about all the things in Gadomancy, except the "Growing" Nodetype, but i don't want to spread too much information about it, so that doesn't matter. That being said, THANK YOU very much for creating the wiki. Now there is at least 1 source of information regarding the things in the mod --HellFirePvP (talk) 00:37, 7 July 2016 (CEST)
- Dang, what I really did not expect is to find out that mod dev was watching my livestreams on this mod. I will follow your advices and update all the pages where needed tomorrow. Also, I feel that Sensitivity Boost and Frequency Emission Overdrive have their recipes changed (one has recipe for the other), in Thaumonomicon the researches have recipes with wrong output. Probably it is a bug that could be fixed. I have also found out that Aura Core energizing works totally random (video), don't know if it was supposed to be so. One more question: what is the thing with aspects for Aura Core and some other items? (video) --Antillar (talk) 01:14, 7 July 2016 (CEST)
- Well i was watching it since i was curious who wrote the entries^^ About the recipe's being mixed up: i'll have a look at them and change them if needed.. Also the Aura Core energizing is less random than you think. There's a reason why its thaumonomicon subtext says "Your surroundings matter" - the Aura Core scans the blocks around itself and takes the aspects they're made of, breaks them down into primals and adds them into its buffer. So in your case: the crystal clusters add some starting-aspects, but the aspect it gets is mostly defined by the blocks it scans. Giving that you're doing this on a flat world, the bedrock layer is quite close and most aspects scanned will be vacuous (breaks down into perditio + aer), lux (aer + fire), terra and something else i can't remember at the moment. However, if you want to get a aura core of a specific aspect, try doing the energizing around blocks that contain the aspect you want to have in a high concentration. Doing the energizing on top of an ocean will almost always result into an aqua core. In case there are not enough blocks, the energizing will fail and it will indicate that with smoke. - The aspects needed for the infusion recipe for the element of darkness and the aura core are randomized to kindof illustrate their unstable and somewhat undefined state. It might mess up your wiki-page generation tool.. i'm very sorry for that... :/ --HellFirePvP (talk) 01:34, 7 July 2016 (CEST)
- Well, our "wiki-page-generation-tool" just doesn't recognise any. I wonder how many of the Essentia the infusion will eat when i try to create such items. Is it like a Hexcoal (fuel efficiency = func(ctime) and will not change while burning) or it is somewhat different? Also, I had hard time updating my recipe template for 16-ingredient infusion, just to create like 5 recipes, which were completely mirrored. Was it really worth implenenting? I do not complain now because I have already done the recipes, but still this question bugged me all the time I was Paint-Master'ing the template for that XD --Antillar (talk) 02:07, 7 July 2016 (CEST)
- When doing an infusion with to create a Aura Core or a Element of Darkness, the amount of essentia needed is randomly chosen and follows no general rule. However there is, of course, a maximum amount the infusion could possibly choose. For the aura core those maximum amounts are: 9 auram, 19 praecantatio, 17 alienis and 34 vacuos. The random values are chosen between the maximum amount and half of it. So Vacuos for the aura core a random value between 17 and 34. Once the infusion starts, it'll pick one random value and that's the essentia cost for the duration of the infusion. (For the element of darkness, the maximum values are: 22 vacuos, 18 tenebrae, 20 alienis, 10 auram) - About the larger infusion recipes: WELL.. it was also fun implementing them and checking if they actually work correctly. It's kindof awkward having such a huge recipe, but i wanted to gate the last and powerful upgrades behind large infusions. Also the bug with the Sensitivity Boost and Frequency Emission Overdrive is a bug in the language file. So their recipes are correct, their names are just wrong. I'll correct that for the next update. --HellFirePvP (talk) 09:51, 7 July 2016 (CEST)
- Ok, I will correct all the mistakes and add missing information to all pages we have discussed right now. --Antillar (talk) 13:42, 7 July 2016 (CEST)
- I have corrected all discussed mistakes and filled all missing information, except for Growing Aura Node, as you wished. --Antillar (talk) 15:01, 7 July 2016 (CEST)
- Awesome! Great job. --HellFirePvP (talk) 16:02, 7 July 2016 (CEST)
