Descendents[edit]

Why are you changing the parameter to the number of descendents? It is there to list the descendents. And if it's an issue of too much info in a small space, remove the parameter from the template. Don't change it to suit your view. MadCrayolaz ® 18:31, 29 April 2013 (CEST)

I was the one who actually listed the descendents on a bunch of bees, then was told to change it. See the post here. Listing them gives spoilers, and not everyone wants that. They are listed on the page under the spoiler tag. The template says to only add the number of descendants now as well. Hypermice (talk) 18:38, 29 April 2013 (CEST)
Then I'll have a talk with Artsja and see about removing that section. Knowing the number imparts little relevant info, even if it is meant to be secret MadCrayolaz ® 18:40, 29 April 2013 (CEST)
I disagree. I think it is very useful as a "how important is this bee for breeding" without getting the spoilers of exactly what it makes. Hypermice (talk) 18:45, 29 April 2013 (CEST)

Branches[edit]

Hey, Great work on filling in the Extra Bee pages. It's much appreciated. Quick thought, I think it might be good to include Branch information more readily, since it's useful in determining common traits/produce and breeding lineage at a glance. Of course, that would probably also imply adding pages for each of the branches as well. At any rate, keep up the good work. --Kahless61 (talk) 17:16, 30 April 2013 (CEST)

Yeah, so now I have 2 people + me who think that is a good idea. I will go change the bee template. I am glad my pages are being appreciated, thanks! Hypermice (talk) 17:33, 30 April 2013 (CEST)
Just checking, but was there any controversy about it? If it's a spoiler type of thing, I'd understand objection to including it, but I don't really foresee how this might spoil stuff. Granted, I never minded spoiling bees for myself, especially since they were always such a rare and valuable commodity where I played (servers) that I couldn't afford to experiment - as such, I don't have a very good sense for what's a spoiler and what's not. --Kahless61 (talk) 17:39, 30 April 2013 (CEST)
No. It was more than some people think the infobox is cluttered, and adding another thing might make it worse. From what I can tell though, it seems more people want it than don't, so I am doing it =) Hypermice (talk) 17:41, 30 April 2013 (CEST)

Moving Pages[edit]

Hello! Please do not move pages by copying their contents from one page to another, as you did with Thaumic Bees and Magic Bees. This separates the page contents from the edit history, which violates the copyright under which contributions are submitted to the wiki. As a Contributor, you have access to the proper Move function (between Delete and Watch in the top-right of the page), which relocates the page with its history, and is the proper way to rename a page. I've fixed Magic Bees for you, although your latest edit was wiped out because it was made to the branched page, which was deleted (you could ask an admin to restore it, or since it looked like minor changes, you could just re-do the edit). If you have any questions, let me know. You're not the first here to make this mistake; it seems few people here know how wrong copy-paste moves are. --timrem (talk) 23:25, 29 August 2013 (CEST)

Sorry about that! I did not realize there was a move button =) I have a question. Can a page be copied using that functionality? We need a nav for Magic Bees, but it will start out as a copy of Thaumic Bees. I could move the tb-nav to mb-nav, but that would break a lot of pages in the meantime. Advice? --Hypermice (talk) 23:55, 29 August 2013 (CEST)
No, in that case you don't need to preserve any history, as the conceptual page didn't exist; you're just copying content, the same as if you were to copy content from another wiki. --Kahless61 (talk) 00:52, 30 August 2013 (CEST)

Hive Page[edit]

Hey, I noticed you added the hive page, there's already a page for hives at Beehive. RZR0 RZR0 (RZR0's Talk Page Talk | RZR0's Contributions Contributions) 00:13, 30 August 2013 (CEST)

I just noticed that and finished combining them and re-directing to the beehive page. --Hypermice (talk) 00:20, 30 August 2013 (CEST)
I have replaced all Hive links with Beehive links and deleted the redirect page. AQiccl135 (talk) 21:53, 12 February 2014 (CET)
