Template talk:Navbox/Modular Powersuits

Module grouping[edit]

The module title names (Batteries, Helmet, Torso, Legs, Feet) don't match the Tinker Table Module Categories (Energy, Movement, Special, Environment, Weapon) many of which are common to several pieces of armor... This also goes for the Armor Suits, (Head, Torso, Legs, Feet) vs (Helmet, Chestplate, Leggings, Boots) which is also more in synch with Vanilla Armor terminology

If these names have changed in newer version I would like to make an older version template, otherwise I would like to fix this one

It is possible that the names have changed in a more recent version... ƒelinoel ~ (Talk) 00:31, 19 July 2015 (CEST)
It's more likely that the titles in the navbox were simply categorizations made by whoever created this template, rather than representations of what the modules are labeled in-game. I believe the names have been consistent throughout the various versions of the mod, so if you would like to update the navbox titles to match the in-game descriptors, please go ahead and do so. Do note, however, that each item should only be listed once in the navbox. Also, be sure you're not adding any modules from powersuits' add-on mods to this navbox, as they don't belong to this mod. --timrem (talk) 03:05, 19 July 2015 (CEST)
Well, Thank you for the vote of confidence ;), I'll get right on it! - Yes, I did notice that many Modules are from a mod that has separated from the original PowerSuits, simply called powersuitaddons and I'l do my best to keep the modules and components to their respective mod Nav templates - also for the items that I correct the name should I move the page or change the link name only? -- Update: Well I went and moved the pages! -- Also 4 modules don't show up in my Tinker Table: Aurameter Aurameter • Custom Color Module Custom Color Module • Transparent Armor Transparent Armor • Citizen Joe Style Citizen Joe Style--JC the Techie (talk) 11:58, 20 July 2015 (CEST)

I found the source of the terminology confusion: the Mod's own webpage: [1]

Module Pages...?[edit]

I feel that modules (not been actual items) don't need a page for each, here's 2 options I thought makes sense:

  • All modules listed on the Tinker Table page under appropriate Module category "Energy", "Armor", "Tool" and so on
    • Would be nice to link directly to the category or Module within the page (Someone know how to do that?)
  • A page grouping Modules by their category, so 8 pages for 40 modules
  • Listed on the corresponding Powersuit Pieces page... as in current Power Fist

Any thoughts? Thanks --JC the Techie (talk) 06:24, 20 July 2015 (CEST)

We usually do an article for every item but if you think the articles would be better made split up like that let's see how that looks. I can't say for sure since I am mostly unfamiliar with this mod as I don't care much for tech mods lol User Page. ƒelinoel_Contributions 07:13, 3 August 2015 (CEST)
I've moved on since, I guess it's fine to have pages for Modules as if they were Items... I've not yet come around to check them all... focused mostly on adding MPSaddons at the time--JC the Techie (talk) 08:59, 4 August 2015 (CEST)
lol I hear that, there is just so much in need of documenting. User Page. ƒelinoel_Contributions 04:14, 6 August 2015 (CEST)
