OreDict param[edit]
Hey, I was wondering why you are commenting out the ore dictionary parameters in the Infobox templates? I can assure you that they are correct. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 23:11, 6 July 2015 (CEST)
- Sorry about that... blunder, it was showing red and I didn't know how to fix it, learning curve--JC the Techie (talk) 23:33, 6 July 2015 (CEST)

Voltz Wiki[edit]
They imported a bunch of pages from our site, which is completely fine as the edit history and attributions are kept that way. There's nothing that we or they did wrong. http://voltz.wikia.com/wiki/Power_Fist?diff=16052 --dgelessus (talk · contribs) 15:44, 23 July 2015 (CEST)

- If you mean atlwiki.net, that's basically us. We run the same mediawiki instance for ftbwiki.org / atlwiki.net / mcmod.wiki domains, the only difference is front pages. -- OstPavel (talk • contributions) 12:05, 25 July 2015 (CEST)
- OK so it's automatically linked? cause it looks the same but green LoL

Renaming pages/images[edit]
If you move pages and their images, make sure you don't forget the item images such as , if they exist. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 23:52, 28 July 2015 (CEST)
- Yes of course Thanks, was gonna get to that but got side tracked, (too many irons in the fire) - Is there a good (best) way to find those? what I mean is if there are some other than Grid_.png and Item_.png - Also is it better to always leave redirects behind and clean those later once they're not used?--JC the Techie (talk) 00:03, 29 July 2015 (CEST)
- This totally looks like an arcade joystick for me :D -- OstPavel (talk • contributions) 00:25, 29 July 2015 (CEST)
- Finding them is not really easy, but they should be bamed borrectly with Grid_, Item_ and Block_ prefixes in 99.99% of the cases, since I've uploaded the vast majority of item images myself. I generally won't leave redirect for Item and Block images, but usually I will for Grid images, because they are often used to display links in recipes and navboxes, where as Item and Block images are usually only used on their respective pages with few exceptions. You can always check "What Links here" if you want to be sure. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 00:40, 29 July 2015 (CEST)
- Slap Face! oh ya thanks, I had completely forgot about that in the toolbox (guess it's too high up).
* This reminds me of another issue I've been meaning to ask you about: is there a way not to list indirect links from the NavBox? What I mean is every page ends up on the list as a linking-to, even after I've fixed the link in the NavBox, but maybe that's a cache thing too - I've tried using Ctrl+F5 on the NavBox template and the link-to page...

Merge of Obsidian Totem[edit]
While keeping things well-organized is nice, your merge of TC3 and TC4's pages for the Obsidian Totem has resulted in an article which isn't clear about what applies to which version. Obsidian Totems only work for node-moving in TC3, and the world-gen structures only drop Ethereal Essence in TC4 (and that's only because you're breaking a node). If I recall correctly, nodes did not spawn inside the world-gen structures in TC3; in TC4, they contain Sinister nodes, not Tainted ones. The significant differences between the two versions of Thaumcraft is why we've been documenting things separately in this case. --timrem (talk) 08:47, 31 August 2015 (CEST)
- Well there wasn't any mention of that on either ones - thanks for pointing it out - I am withdrawing.--JC the Techie (talk) 08:52, 31 August 2015 (CEST)
- To clarify, with "in this case" I was referring to the two mods altogether, not just the case of Obsidian Totem. There should be some old discussion on the forums where we decided how to deal with the update from TC3 to TC4. --timrem (talk) 09:00, 31 August 2015 (CEST)
- was getting side tracked anyways (as usual) - collided with TC3 working on EU nodes (a sidetrack of it's own) - I saw something posted about fel moving all the pages to (TC3) where it should have been (Thaumcraft 3) - I got interested in the Obsidian Pole Thing cause I ran into one in-game, but the info was off, so I stepped in... into quick sand so I'm out before a make a worse mess --JC the Techie (talk) 09:14, 31 August 2015 (CEST)

Redirects[edit]
I've restored several redirects that you deleted. While they may not be linked to from other pages, they are still valid redirects to aid in navigating the site via search. Also keep in mind that, with older pages, it's possible that external sites link to the page, or someone may have the page bookmarked. Deleting the redirect would break those links, whereas keeping it around doesn't hurt anyone. --timrem (talk) 09:06, 7 September 2015 (CEST)
- Ok then, as you wish--JC the Techie (talk) 09:13, 7 September 2015 (CEST)
- When nothing noticeable links to a page I link to it in my userspace to prevent someone from accidentally deleting it. . ƒelinoel_ 11:57, 7 September 2015 (CEST)
- I suppose it's not up for debate, yet what's the point of that? - I get the possible external link to it, but a search for 'Stam' will show Stamp, Stamp Collector and a bunch of redirects... to me that's cluttered, but I won't lose any sleep over it, you guys been doing this longer than I have. I like to be consistent with in-game naming (which is 'Stamp (xn)' not Stamps or Stamp xn), maybe it was before 1.7.10, in that case I messed up a bit - sorry about that. Also it just seemed that a page for each denomination wasn't really needed, but maybe that would be better instead of redirects?--JC the Techie (talk) 19:19, 7 September 2015 (CEST)

the botmy parser application was unable to handle that particular nav due to certain issues, because whoever made it decided to invent their own format for subgroups. - @ Fleinoel
- I don't know what this images is: Damage Boost
- No Picture on the wiki yet (ask RZR0) for: Demonic Heart; Golden Apple [Enchanted]; Heart of Gold.
- These brews listed in the Nav are not in your sceenshots: L1 - Break Nearby Ores; L2 - Damage Boost, Insect Bane, Push Away, Weakness; L4 - Break Nearby Ores, Darkness Allergy, Explode on Hit, Extra Jump, Hungry, Random Teleport, Tame Animals; L6 - Drop Armor, Extend Active Potions, Sunlight Burn.
- One of the screenshot link (insect bane) doesn't work. --JC the Techie (talk) 08:24, 26 September 2015 (CEST)
- Damage Boost is blaze powder.
Demonic Heart might be Demon Heart, hmm...
The missing brews are on the missing image I guess, http://i.imgur.com/Uk5zh7P.png lol sorry that link that I linked was the full listing of the pages of that book with those screenshots that I made for notes for myself.
Wow thanks again super awesome! . ƒelinoel_ 03:58, 27 September 2015 (CEST) - Ok... weird... I can't find any information on some of those brews that are missing info, they must be secret brews? I will look elsewhere. . ƒelinoel_ 04:20, 27 September 2015 (CEST)
- The image link in the Nav is a temp fix, once the brew pages are created we can use a redirect to attach that picture to the brew - I saw you grouped some of the brews, that makes sense like grow trees and saplings
- If you are talking about the emeralds and blaze powder, I disagree. Custom brews all share the same image and are not distinguishable from one another and things like emeralds and blaze powder are how they are officially are imaged.
- I only grouped the grow sapling/tree brew because there are like ten different brews all with the same recipe and description with only one difference, the sapling it grows. ƒelinoel ~ (Talk) 06:56, 27 September 2015 (CEST)
- Ya my point excatly! - with the pictures, I realise this isn't going to work, the actual brew is in a bottle isn't it? the pic in the book is the ingredient to make it so it looks weird to have that same picture in the output... ok for the Nav but not the page and recipe - maybe RZR0 can make different colour bottles to match the ingredient - like white bottle for Brew of Fertilize, etc...--JC the Techie (talk) 07:08, 27 September 2015 (CEST)
- There are sixteen different possible colors for a custom brew depending on what color wool you add to the brew to change the color to, these different colors CAN be uploaded by RZR0 (if we can find the item code for these) and we can use these bottles for the articles, but I feel that we should stick to the official image for the navbox. ƒelinoel ~ (Talk) 07:13, 27 September 2015 (CEST)
- On that note, RZR0 says that there is a way to get the item code of an item using his WikiTools mod, but that may cause some issue what with figuring out how to use that thing and then the issue of acquiring the sixteen brews of different colors, though I assume once you have one brew of a specific color, let's say white, you can assume what the others will be. ƒelinoel ~ (Talk) 07:27, 27 September 2015 (CEST)
- I uploaded a bottle see what you think: Brew of Fertilize - so it looks good the wiki, regardless of the in-game colour... when you have the potion in hand in-game does it look like a bottle or like a bonemeal?--JC the Techie (talk) 07:39, 27 September 2015 (CEST)
- In game it looks like a bottle of whatever design you concocted it to look like filled with whatever color of liquid you chose it to be. . ƒelinoel_ 07:44, 27 September 2015 (CEST)
- This is more what I had in mind, with the brew of combustion's image being used for the cauldron-produced brew of sprouting. It is different than the kettle-produced brew of sprouting image though. . ƒelinoel_ 07:38, 28 September 2015 (CEST)
- Have you looked at the images I've uploaded, I thought you would like those: the image for the potion is inside the bottle - unique no? I used the glass bottle at first but I thought using the brew bottle would be more consistent.--JC the Techie (talk) 07:55, 28 September 2015 (CEST)
- I don't think RZR0 would be for that... not sure about others' opinion. Mine remains that it might be too confusing for the readers. . ƒelinoel_ 08:12, 28 September 2015 (CEST)

Quaff capability?[edit]
Quaff capability? That sounds like whether or not something is quaffable as in either yes or no? But quaffability implies different levels of quaffableness which is the intended meaning to be conveyed. I feel it should be changed back to quaffability, thoughts? ƒelinoel ~ (Talk) 07:13, 27 September 2015 (CEST)

Offtopic, lol check out this recipe for a custom brew!
Also offtopic, throwable is a perfectly acceptable word without need for hyphenation, I see you adding hyphens to it and disagree with your usage. Thoughts? ƒelinoel ~ (Talk) 08:32, 27 September 2015 (CEST)- Sometimes my auto-correct gets out of line, I'll add that word so it stops doing that - ya I saw Cauldron somewheres too, maybe both? research time...--JC the Techie (talk) 08:46, 27 September 2015 (CEST)

Dyed Wool[edit]
I'm just curious why you made a Dyed Wool page. Shouldn't that just be under Wool? Since they're all Wool and Wool is white dyed Wool? ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 00:07, 22 November 2015 (CET)
- I did that to use with
{{Substitute}}
, got a bit fed up with users changing the wording from "Wool can be substituted with any colour wool" to "Any colour Wool may be used" (using the template is consistent). I thought of simply redirecting it to Wool, but that seemed just as weird...--JC the Techie (talk) 03:06, 22 November 2015 (CET)- Well yeah, but technically it's not correct. If people write it can be substituted by colored wool, we should just remove that comment. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 14:10, 22 November 2015 (CET)
- ah ok, to me that is implied, yet maybe some user need i dotted and t crossed... since the item can be crafted with any coloured wool, I thought why not add the Subs... but ya I can see that was pointless: gone now--JC the Techie (talk) 17:32, 22 November 2015 (CET)

TF Gifs[edit]
When you made the TF gifs, did you put the metals in the same order for all items with the same intervals? They seem to cycle in a weird order. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 19:35, 3 December 2015 (CET)
- Do you mean the NEI idname order? I changed it around a bit because the colours are so similar it wasn't really showing... is that really important? I put the metals in alphabetical order in the table... I hope you like what I did with all those items, sure cleans up the Navbox! - (off topic: I wish I could get NEI to order alphabetically)--JC the Techie (talk) 02:25, 4 December 2015 (CET)
