"Every Thaumaturge loses his mind every now and then due to his nature of his work. The insanity literally takes you over and controls your action.

But worst of all, it looks silly. In all embarrassment you hide your research to never be touched again.
As you walk back from the damned research you wonder about the applications of the sword...
And a memory comes back from when you were wandering with such a sword through the jungle in the throes of your madness.
You encountered a feral cat, you tried to hit it with the silly weapon, but the weapon fell from your hand because it was too heavy on top of the cat and it flattened the feral cat into a rug.
You start to wonder if that was a dream or reality..."
