Template:Fontcolor

Template documentation (for the above template, sometimes hidden or invisible)

Contents

Links should clearly be identifiable as links to readers.

Refrain from implementing coloured links that may impede user ability to distinguish links from regular text, or colour links for purely aesthetic reasons. See the Style Guide to writing articles.

Usage[edit]

To change text and/ or background colour.

Syntax[edit]

{{Fontcolor|<text colour>|<text>|link=<page link>}}

or

{{Fontcolor|<text colour>|<background colour>|<text>|link=<page link>}}

Examples:

Markup Renders as
{{Fontcolor|green|green text}} green text
{{Fontcolor|blue|do not style text as a link}} do not style text as a link
{{Fontcolor|black|white|black with white background}} black with white background
{{Fontcolor||yellow|default text in yellow background}} default text in yellow background

The |link= parameter is useful where a link is placed in a coloured header such as a navbox. For example, with a blue header, you could leave the background colour blank and set the font colour to white. |link=yes sets the link to the text, otherwise it is set to the value of |link=.

Markup Renders as
{{Fontcolor|white|blue|Example|link=yes}} Example
